About our School

Darul Hadis Latifiah seeks to educate children in Qur’an and the Shariah in conjunction with mainstream education. The school's historical progress is a reflection of the dedication and commitment of its patron and founder.

Alhamdulillah, with the generous support and help of Muslims in the UK, I have established this institute for the future generations of Muslims living in this country. The sole aim of this institute is to mould ideal Muslims and good British citizens by providing religious and general education. Those who support and help this institute will benefit both in this world and in Akhirah, Insha Allah.

Darul Hadis Latifiah (Formerly Madrasah-e-Darul Qirat Majidiah) has historically played a pioneering role in educating young British Muslims. Its establishment in 1978 as one of the very first Islamic educational institutions in London, by Hazrat Shah Sufi Allamah Muhammad Abdul Latif Chowdhury Saheb Qiblah Fultali (R.A.), gave respite to many concerned parents about the state of their child’s Islamic education.

The school seeks to educate children in Qur’an and the Shariah in conjunction with mainstream education. The institution’s historical progress is a reflection of the dedication and commitment of its patron and founder. Its origins were humble and the constant need for bigger premises reflects the demand of our services within our local community.

Islamic and Bengali classes were first held at a rented properly in New Road, London E1. Madrasah-e-Darul Qirat Majidiah progressed and purchased its own property at 46-48 Cannon Street Road, London E1 in 1981. By the grace of Allah (SWT), we expanded the scope of our work and in 1998, a secondary school for boys was opened.

The huge influx of new students and the capacity at which we were operating our services required the need to further upgrade our premises. Consequently we moved to 1 Cornwall Avenue, London E2 in 2005 and the consensus of our community held that we acquire the new name of Darul Hadis Latifiah.
